Sharing your data:

Under no circumstances is your data ever sold or rented to a third party.

What data Abby Beth Carter collects and where it’s kept:

If you engage in 1:1 services Abby Beth Carter collects your name, email address, home address, phone number and questions relevant to the conducting of the session. This data is held within Squarespace/Acuity Scheduling.

If you purchase an online class or product, Abby Beth Carter collects your name, email address, and IP address. This data is held within Paypal, Stripe, Google Workspace, ConvertKit, and/or Acuity Scheduling. The privacy policy of third-party companies applies to their collection, use and disclosure of your information.

The purpose for this information:

This basic personal data is needed in order to contact you regarding your product or service, and to monitor your progress.

You will not be added to any other marketing lists unless you have opted in to those yourself. If you are also an email subscriber, please see the Email Subscriber section below to see how your data is used in that context.

Email Subscribers

What data Abby Beth Carter collects and where it’s kept: 

We collect your name and email address when you opt in to the email list. This data is held in Google Workspace and ConvertKit. If you receive email from us, we use certain tools to capture data related to when you open our message, click on any links or banners.

The purpose for this information: 

We use this information to stay connected with you through my business, including to inform you about new resources, services, products, and offerings. We have a legitimate interest in understanding how you interact with our communications to you.

How long information is kept: 

Your information will be kept until you unsubscribe or notify us otherwise subject to an Abby Beth Carter legitimate legal interest.

Site Users

What data Abby Beth Carter collects and where it’s kept:

Abby Beth Carter may collect your IP address and information regarding your location and pages accessed. This data is collected and stored in Squarespace.

We use technology to monitor how you interact with our website. This may include which links you click on. This may also include information about your device or browser.

  • We collect information, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address (a number that is automatically assigned to a computer when the Internet is used), domain name, click-activity, referring website, and/or a date/time stamp for visitors.

The purpose for this information:

This data allows Abby Beth Carter to analyze web traffic. This analysis is about general trends rather than you as an individual, and your IP address is encoded and not visible to us. We have a legitimate interest in understanding how you interact with our website to better improve it, and to understand your preferences and interests in order to select offerings that you might find most useful. We also have a legitimate interest in detecting and preventing fraud. We have a legitimate interest in monitoring our networks and the visitors to our website. Among other things, it helps us understand which of our services is the most popular.

Other Third-Party Service Providers

If you provide us feedback or contact us for support we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content that you send to us, in order to reply.

We collect your name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card number when you subscribe to our Products and/or Services. We use your information to perform our contract to provide you with our Products and/or Services.

In addition to the purposes and uses described above, we use information in the following ways:

    Service Providers. We share your information with service providers. Among other things service providers help us to administer our website, conduct surveys, provide technical support, process payments, and assist in the fulfillment of Services.

How We Protect Personal Information

While we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. Our website permits you to create an account. When you do you will be prompted to create a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and you are responsible for any access to or use of your account by someone else that has obtained your password, whether or not such access or use has been authorized by you. You should notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, Abby Beth Carter may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

Alternatively, Abby Beth Carter may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

Abby Beth Carter will try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take me longer than a month if your request is particularly complex, or you have made several requests. In this case, I will notify you and keep you updated.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your Personal Data not in accordance with the law, and you are in the EU, you can reach out to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

California Privacy Act

Children’s Privacy

We do not intentionally collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, you can look at our Site, but you should not make a purchase, register, or submit personal information to us. Users Outside the United States
